Hello from a very beautiful and fall-feeling London! I’m here working on the final songs for Atlas and it has been such a joy to write new music in this wonderful city. I wanted to take a moment to share a couple updates with you:

New Song with Philip Sheppard: Go On Easy
I recently wrote and recorded a new song called Go On Easy with my friend, Philip Sheppard. I’m so excited to let you know it’s out today!
Go On Easy was written and recorded in a single day at Abbey Road Studios in London. At the start of our session, Philip and I sat down with our instruments and explored different melodic directions while the engineers set up around us. Once we found a few chords and a feeling we loved, we stared layering idea after idea until the song began to take shape.
Once we had the musical foundation in place, I sat down to write the lyrics. I remembered a conversation Philip and I had about parenting and how he’d recently gone bouldering with his son. That image stayed with me and I began to think about climbing as a metaphor for the experience of being a parent.
Go On Easy gives the perspective of a loving parent watching their child grow into the person they’re meant to become. You can’t climb the mountain for them, but you can celebrate when they reach new heights, encourage them as they find their way and be there to help them up when they slip.
New Turning Page Merch
Continuing the celebration of Turning Page’s 15th anniversary, I’m excited to share a few new merch items! The Turning Page 7-inch vinyl is back in stock (with 100 more hand-signed and numbered lyric cards hidden throughout the pressing)! We also just released a brand new lyric shirt AND my first ever keychain!
