I'm writing today to share a new piece of music from my "Astronomy" series!!! ...
In celebration of tonight's magnificent, "parade of planets", where we earthlings get to observe all of our planets in a nice and tidy lineup in the night sky! If you plan on observing this beautiful alignment, I wrote this new piece, "June 24, 2022: Parade Of Planets" as a musical companion. I hope you enjoy it!
The start of this song is a collage of each of my "planet" songs ("mars", "saturn", etc), layered and tuned together, like an orchestra tuning. The chords that follow, musically represent each of the planets aligned in the sky. An easter egg to keep your ear out for: You can hear the mechanical whirring of my Telescope, Stellina by Vaonis!
The strings you hear were performed by the absolutely wonderful Sharon and Anya Gerber. Mastered by the excellent, Chris Bethea and the artwork is by the ever-gifted, Tim Damitz! I am grateful to know and work with these beautiful souls.
