Dear Friends,

Happy May! Today is all about new music. I am honored to share three new songs with you today:

  • 🗺️ New Atlas: III song Time Lies (Ludus) - Listen early

  • 🔭 New Astronomy song - Out today

  • ❤️‍🩹 New Acoustic version of Some Kind Of Heaven - Out now

🗺️ New Song: Time Lies (Ludus)

As a Letters subscriber (thank you!!), my new Atlas song Time Lies (Ludus) is yours to hear first!

Time Lies (Ludus) is the ninth song in my twenty five-song Atlas: III project. As mentioned previously, throughout Atlas: III, I will be writing a song for each of the greek definitions of love: Eros, Storge, Ludus, Pragma, Philautia, Philia and Agape. Time Lies was inspired by Ludus, a playful kind of love. I approached the writing and production of this song in that spirit. Pure fun and lighthearted. I had a ton of fun working on this one! It follows my songs Build and Destroy, which are both arguments with time. In Time Lies (Ludus), I thought it would be fun to write a love song that doesn’t believe in time at all.

The public release for Time Lies (Ludus) is on May 20 (Presave on Spotify here). Subscribe to Letters to hear this song now.

🔭 New Astronomy Song

Today, I'm thrilled to share April 17, 2025: Hint of Life - K2-18b a brand-new song in my Astronomy series (songs inspired by astronomical events and discoveries)! Hint of Life was inspired by the recent news of astronomers detecting possible signatures of life on a planet outside of our solar system called K2-18b. Though it’ll be years if not forever to actually prove something like that, I love this kind of news, so I was inspired to write this song.

❤️‍🩹 Some Kind of Heaven (Acoustic)

In honor of Mother's Day, I rereleased my Mother collection, which now includes a new acoustic version of my song Some Kind Of Heaven. Artwork by one of my mom's favorite artists in the world, the wonderful Joey Chou. Strings by the marvelous Sharon Gerber and Anya-Katerina Gerber. Mastered by my pal Chris Bethea.

Getting to share new music with you is one of the greatest honors of my life. Thank you for listening!

Huge love, Ryan
