I am so delighted to pull the wraps off of the official music video for "Turning Page"!!! This stunning video was brought to life by the brilliant artists, Derek Hough and Phillip Chbeeb, who directed it and Makenzie Chbeeb and Phillip Chbeeb who choreographed it!
They and their incredible team poured so much love and soul into this and I couldn't be more honored and grateful.
Derek and Phillip were kind enough to share some thoughts on what this video means to them:
"We wanted to create a video about love and how life is a fleeting journey, an impermanent dance between birth and death. Like the sands of time we eventually return to the earth. Yet, despite our transient existence, the essence of life lies in cherishing and embracing love during our brief experience. The brevity of life serves as a reminder to seize every moment and to connect deeply with others. At the start of this year, I reached out to Derek to ask if he'd be interested in being a part of making a video for my song. I'm still in disbelief that not only did he say “yes,” but he immediately began brainstorming ideas, pulled together an insanely talented team and brought this to life. What a gift. “Turning Page” is now RIAA certified PLATINUM!!!! My first-ever song to reach platinum and I have NO idea how to properly convey how honored and touched I am. 🤯 Many years ago, this song was given a home in the Twilight: Breaking Dawn pt. 1 film as part of Bella and Edward’s love story and I am forever grateful to everyone on that team for letting it be a part. Over the years, it has warmed my heart beyond measure to see this song be the backdrop to so many real-life weddings, birth announcements and more. An absolute gift. Thank you for giving this song life and letting this song be a little part of your life! A massive thank you to Laura Sink and Jeremy Larson for playing strings, Dan Perdue for playing bass and John Goodmanson for mixing this song.
